Maybe your man is losing interest and pulling away. Maybe he is not stepping up or taking action. Or maybe men in general are showing you no real interest or devotion, and you are tired of it.
You want a loving, long-term, committed relationship with a man who cherishes you, desires you, and treats you like a queen. Someone you are genuinely excited about and also feel safe with.
I am Brody Boyd with Magnetize Your Man. Together with my wife Antia, we have spent over 20 years combined helping thousands of successful women all over the world get committed relationships with the men they want.
What I want to correct here is probably the single most common misunderstanding I run into, and it is costing women years.
Feminine Energy Is Not Just The Sunshine
Most women think feminine energy means being light, flowy, playful, and easy to be around.
Those are real and they matter. But they are one piece of it, and believing they are the whole thing is exactly what keeps a man from ever falling for you.
Because there is another side to femininity, and it is all the emotions we label as bad. Fear. Anger. Anxiety. Neediness. Frustration. Sadness. Shame. Guilt.
Those are equally beautiful pieces of the feminine puzzle. A man wants to feel your whole heart, not the edited version.
This is also the answer to a question I get constantly: why is he with a woman who seems so difficult? Often it is because she is genuinely living from her feminine, and her feminine is not all sunshine and roses. It is fear and anger and sadness and jealousy and insecurity too. He can feel her, and that is more compelling than a pleasant surface.
The Weather And The Mountain
Here is the way to hold it.
The feminine is the weather. Bright sunny days, cloudy rainy ones, hurricanes, tornadoes, total stillness. Constant motion, change, and variation. That is the true feminine.
The masculine is unchanging. It is the core of the earth that does not move, or the stillness of space, the emptiness, what David Deida calls consciousness. It is solid, open, and still.
The masculine is orderly and structured, focused on getting things done. The feminine is flowing, intuitive, creative, multitasking, and sometimes chaotic.
Your full range of emotion is what activates his masculine. A flat, pleasant surface has nothing for his masculine to hold.
Why “Playing It Cool” Never Gets You The Relationship
Many women decide early on: I will be light and positive with him, keep it fun, not show too much, and once we are actually together I will let him see the rest of me.
It does not work, for two reasons.
First, if he does fall for you, he falls for a mask. He fell for a false version of you, and you will have to maintain her.
Second, and far more likely, he never gets there at all. He cannot feel your heart, so nothing activates his masculine devotion. And putting on that guard is itself a masculine act.
What you hear from him in that scenario is familiar. This is fun, but it feels more like we are friends. This is cool, we are buddies. He will happily keep sleeping with you and feel no deep connection at all. Let us not talk about the future, let us just enjoy this.
That is the outcome of being Miss Too Cool For School.
“But I Tried That And It Pushed Him Away”
I hear this every time I teach it, and it is usually true. You did share your emotions and it did go badly. Here is why.
There are no ugly emotions. There are only ugly behaviors.
The emotion was never the problem. What you did with it was. What most women do is pick the emotion up and use it as a weapon.
“I’m angry at you.” “You make me feel angry, why did you do that?” “Stop making me feel so sad.” “You hurt my feelings.”
Every one of those is about him and what he did. You are using your emotions to change his behavior, to make him feel bad, to get an outcome. And trying to get an outcome is masculine. The masculine gives and pursues a goal. The feminine receives and opens.
So a man feels it immediately. He goes on guard. You are trying to get me to do something. You are trying to control me. And if I submit to that, I lose my self-respect. So he creates distance.
The Doormat, The Controller, And The Queen
Picture three women.
The Doormat never shares her emotions at all. She does not speak up. She lets men roll over her, and in some cases lets herself be badly mistreated.
The Controller is aggressive. She tells men what to do. She does share emotions, but always from a place of control and manipulation.
The Queen sits in the beautiful middle. She speaks up as readily as the Controller does, and the Doormat never does. But she does it in a feminine way: vulnerably, openly, without trying to force an outcome.
The difference is remarkably small on the page and enormous in effect.
“I feel sad.” Full stop. That is it.
Not “I feel sad and I want you to do something.” Not “I feel sad because of you, you’re making me sad”, which is an attack and a criticism, and therefore masculine.
“I feel sad. I don’t know what to do.” That is feminine openness. Non-controlling, receptive, vulnerable. You are owning your emotion and taking responsibility for it, and still sharing it.
What He Does When You Get This Right
He gets to feel you. He gets your heart without feeling instructed or criticized.
So instead of backing away from your sadness, he moves toward it. Tell me more. Come here, let me hold you. What made you feel that way? How can I do better? How can I help?
He wants to help. He wants to step up and take action, because he feels your heart, he feels trusted, and he does not feel attacked or managed. And in that moment he starts feeling genuinely more attracted to you, and real love for you.
You can share joy and sadness alike, without doing anything with either one. Just letting him feel it.
The Honest Caveat
This works in the context of a man who already has some care for you.
If he is emotionally or mentally broken, if he is a narcissist or a sociopath, this will not work. Those men are not capable of valuing your feelings. It is a small percentage, but they exist, and your man could be one of them.
Which is exactly why this doubles as the best test of a man there is. When you are genuinely vulnerable, how does he react, consistently, over time?
If you are consistently open in the way we teach and he still shows no care for your heart after several honest attempts, you have your answer. He either has no care left after too much damage, or he is not interested in your heart, or he is broken. It will reveal itself.
This Is A Practice, Not A Technique
The distinction between sharing an emotion and deploying one is slight, and it is everything. A man feels the difference instantly even when he could not explain it.
So treat this as a lifestyle rather than a move. Practice feminine openness. Speak up, and speak up often. Just do it in the right way, without borrowing masculine energy to get what you want.
Do that and you become the most radiant version of yourself, and you will be genuinely shocked at how a man steps up and devotes himself when he is coming from real love.
Embrace all of your emotions. They are beautiful, and he wants them, when they are shared the right way. That is what full feminine energy actually is, and it is what attracts a committed masculine man.

After listening to several of your podcasts about female polarity, I feel that there was one aspect of today’s reality being missed: nowadays women are more into doing DIY and fixing things around the house than men are!
Long story short, my ex never used a hammer in his life, as for me when I was a kid I was exposed to everything DIY around the house, I could change a mixer, attach a dishwasher, and pretty much anything I put my mind to.
I could sense he was uncomfortable when we purchased an apartment together last October and I had a greater understanding of everything house-related while I would explain things to him, hadn’t I had such knowledge, we would have spent thousands of extra money for nothing as he would buy whatever the salesperson shows him. Instead of accepting and appreciating me, I feel he started resenting me.
We’ve even had different opinions where I’d rather WE paint the apartment together (it’s an easy and fun activity to do as a couple) instead of paying thousands to a contractor to do the job. I did not have the finances to pay contractors for simple jobs like these, and he’d rather pay someone else since he earned more money than me and he’s a perfectionist. I would emphasize that I would need him to do the job with me, I don’t have the strength or the height. I just know how, but I can’t do it on my own and it was perfect to work together as a couple, I wanted us to do things together.
So the conversation would always end, “I cannot afford to pay someone else to do a job that we can do ourselves, but if you insist on having someone else do the job, then you can pay it yourself as I do not have the finances right now and will then pay you later.” and his reply would be “If I am to pay for this and for that, then I have might as well bought the apartment on my name.”
He never showed interest in learning how to do things, even when planning the electrical layout, he would fool around with my dog instead of paying attention to what I was doing on the computer. He excels at playing and being around kids, something that I admired and wanted to learn from him myself, but he couldn’t do the same with me for the house.
For the sake of feminine polarity, therefore… are we women never allowed to do male stuff if it means saving money and more fun?? Just because the male couldn’t man up and decide to be hands-on learning from his wonderful partner??
I would love to listen to this reply on one of your upcoming podcasts, as it’s a sad reality for us women!
Yes I believe all men are capable of those things it’s about activating his masculine instinct to step up in those ways by sharing your heart and feelings with him vulnerably and respectfully. Great topic for future videos/posts!
